Selling and Buying Protection

A question for the experienced. Is there a way that individals, unknown to each other and separated by distance, of a sell/buy agreement, might protect their financial interest until a fair and just transaction has been finalized? Example. perhaps some form of bonded escrow protecting financial interest of buyer and seller of a gun in different cities.. Appreciate your opinions. jclane@yahoo.com
