I have done this for years. I remove my name from these kinds of things before I put them in the garbage as well.

Been doing that for years. I know this may come as no suprise but here is just a few that I was told from the pro's (by convicts I been working for DOC for 10 years now). Lights inside and outside, and TV and raido that come on and off automacitlay. Fence with a dog or dogs (I like doberman"s or pitbull's) and nosie neighbor's. This was told to me by a guy that had been locked up 3 times for burglary and his last was for 10 years and 27 counts. That said if you have something that they want they will get to it some how, but not likely if they are looking for a quick grab and run they will move on. To somewhere they feel comfortable most of the time they like to be gone in 15 to 30 minutes. Anyting to slow them up or expose them will be a deterance.

Also be sure to rag on the mullets that leave business cards, flyers, election notices, homeowner association newsletters, and other trash on your door. Makes a perfect burglar flag saying," Nobody's home, come on in!"

If you know it all; you must have been listening.<br>WEAR EAR PROTECTION!

    Since it isn't locked, here's my 2?:

After the second gun, buy a safe weighing at least 300+ pounds.

Any credit card statements with name and number go into a special recepticle by your desk. Same with anything with SSN#'s. BURN THEM!!

People go through trash dumps looking specifically for just this kind of stuff.
Identity theft is on the rise.

Been doing that for quite a while now. My wife thinks I'm paranoid. [:p]
