Best ammo for Sako .270?

All,
Got out this weekend for the first time with my new Sako Hunter 75 chambered in .270 and must say that I'm impressed. The rifle is all that I've heard it is. Here's my question. What is the best type of .270 (manufacturer, type, grain) ammo for the Sako. The rifle will primarily be used for whitetail hunting in North America, with a possible trip out west for some elk hunting. Would appriciate any suggestions.

    Boy is this a "loaded" question!

    Back many moons ago (1960's &70's) the factory people at Sako mostly (I was told)used Norma due to the consistency of the brass and the fact that the head spacing was on the minimum. I have always used Norma in my Sako's (based on the information)and never had a problem, but can state I've never had a problem with Wincester brass either.

    As far as bullet type and weight, can't help you for a .270, don't know anything about that caliber except what I read.

    Your gun is the only one who can answer that for you. Each gun is going to have a certain bullet it prefers over another. Does not matter if it is the exact make & caliber rifle. I would try the rem 130 grain (swift) scirroco just for the capabilties of the bullet but you will have to expierement for which will actually shoot best from your rifle.

    Best factory loads...Hornady 130 custom for deer,
    Hornady 140 "light mag." or 150 custom for elk.
