BSA Scope-any good?

I'm looking at a new scope. BSA Cat's Eye 3-10x44mm. Price is 90 bucks. Is this a good deal? Are BSA scopes any good?

    I have a BSA scope,but I haven't used it yet. I was going to trade the gun and scope in on another gun and the dealer wasn't particularly interested in the scope. I ask him why and he said he had had problems with several BSA scopes. Take it for what its worth.

    One guy I went prairie dog hunting with (a former GB member) had BSA on a couple of his light-recoiling varmit rigs and he was shooting sub-moa groups on all of them. I am not sure how they'd handle a rifle with some kick however. With thier low prices, 1/8" click adjustments and high magnification, I'm going to get one with my Savage 93 FvSS .17 HMR. I'll have the complete deal for just a hair over $300.

    I wouldn't trust this rifle for big game hunting for lots of reasons, one being the cost of tags, ammo, transportation and such one problem with a scope could theoretically cost more than a quality scope. However, I don't mind if I blow a hunt when only varmits are involved...

    It matters not how many times you've been knocked down. What matters is how many times you've gotten back up.

    I have a BSA 3X9 on the cheap end mounted on a 30-06 and have had no problems whatsoever. I think I paid about $35 for it.

    Good buy for the $$$

    Have never had a problem w/ a BSA scope.

    Have used them on 30-06 and 12 ga. mag. slug gun.

    As for "dealer" talking down the scope ... all part of the "game".

    If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!

    I have 3 of these. I liked the first one enough to buy 2 more. All on muzzleloaders and a shotgun. The reticle on the first rotated a little, but hasn't been any kind of a functional problem. I think this scope is one of the best for $ 90.

    Better eye relief than most too.

    i bought the bsa that has the 17hmr ballistics dialed into it. im not sure of the model or magnification, but it is a clear scope that works well on my nef 17hmr.

    i like it. again you do get what you pay for. so far its been worth every dime.

    I bought one of their 3-9x40's for one of my FAL's, I have put a couple 1000 rounds through it. Only problem has been that the zero has moved a little, maybe 2-3moa. Probably just the mount moving on the reciever and not the scope.

    I only have used the BSA red dot scope. I had a problem with the mounting bolts and screws. The threads on my bolts were stripped out. I have had the scope for 3 years and called the company and they sent me new mounting hardware free of charge, even after I told them I expected to pay for this, due to the age of the scope. I have no experience with there rifle scopes but there customer service is very good.

    The BSA rifle scopes are on the Low end of "Budget" priced optics
    I would put them in the same class as a Tasco or simmons.With Rifle scopes You get what you pay for ,With this class of scope you are MORE LIKELY to experience Fogging(gas leaks out), Jammed power rings and the worst of all shatterd cross hairs, I know there are many folks here that will disagree with me because thay have a closit full of cheap scopes on thier guns But Thats just the way it is You got to pay for quality[;)]

    bought an 8x32x44 BSA platnium today. Have had many other brands and still have some in the bottom of the gun safe.The first 1 I'm gonna shoot with the Bsa and 6mm combo is leopold!! then I will put a bullet in the rest!

    I have that same one. 8-32x44 Platnium on a Ruger M77-II in 7mm Rem. Mag. It has worked great so far. Been on about a year with ~140 rounds fired.

    I had a BSA Catseye 6-24X50 mounted on my bolt action 50BMG.
    Fired 60 rounds with no problems. The only reason I took the scope
    off is I bought an IOR/Valdada 6-24X50 scope. I use the BSA as a
    back-up.
