    Yep, the Kurz means "short" so hence the 380 (9x17) is a shortened variety of the 9x19 Parabellum/Luger. 9mm Kurz is just the more common European designation of the 380

    joey is right...the 99x17 is a short version of the 9x 19 the difference is about 350 feetper sec....I have a p-232 in .380 aand if yoou are wantiing a .380 ther is no better pistol

    Thanks, just traded for the SIG P232 380 and wanted to make certain that I had the right ammo. The 9mm Kurz on the side of the pistol made me start thinking....should know better.
