S&W .455
I have a S & W .455 caliber pistol. Hand-ejector. Where can I get ammo for it. I was also told I could fire .45 colt ammo in this pistol, is this right? Also, does anyone know the value of this pistol? Has excellent mechanics, 85-90% bluing.

Purportedly you can fire 45 Autorim in them. Suggest Old Western Scrounger as the place to start looking for ammo, and also suggest that you stick w/ 455.
Price depends on condition, also if the pistol was accepted by UK for military service ... look at proof, etc., marks. Some of these revolvers, other than going to RCMP were supposedly made for civilian sale. If yours turns out to be either RCMP or Civ. it should have a greater value.
As Saxonpig mentioned ... if you convert it you will reduce the value.

we manufacture all of the .455`s here at the shop. the COLT, WEBLEY, ELEY, etc... we can duplicate original, period correct military specs, create a self defense loading, or tailor the recipe to your own specific needs. we have sold quite a few boxes to members here on GB in the last few months. we build our custom handloads on brand new, virgin brass here in house.
