Colt WW1 Commemorative question(1967-Chateau Tier)
Can someone tell me the difference between the "DELUXE" and
"SUPER DELUXE" grades for these pistols, numbers say 7400 would
be "STANDARD", 75 would be "DELUXE" and 25 would be "SUPER DELUXE"
I thought at first that maybe the first 25 serials would be super ie.
1-CT thru 25-CT but I saw a picture today in a Colt book and
9-CT is a STANDARD grade pistol,so that theory is shot. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. DW

Unable to tell you but the correct spelling is "Chateau Thierry".
The book from many years ago states the 1967 WW1 Series issue price at
$200.00. Chateau Thierry Deluxe @ $500.00. The Chateau Thierry Special Deluxe @ $1,000.00. This was from an ancient Blue Book. Issue prices differ. I would suspect that the prices have gone up considerablly. Prices depend upon unfired (outside factory proofing),
untouched (outside factory packing) and with all papers and wrap.
Current prices will differ imensely. Suggest you check out Gunbrokers
auctions. 1010 -
Current Blue Book (100%) Prices:
Chateau Thierry - $795
Chateau Thierry DeLuxe - $1,350
Chateau Thierry Special DeLuxe - $2,7500
