Glock Magazines
I have a lot of the high capacity Glock magazines for the Model 22 and 17 Glocks. Unfortunately I sold the Glocks but kept the magazines.
Now I am thinking of buying some more Glocks. Will the magazines I have work in the new Glocks or should I look for older made Glock models 22 & 17?

i traded for a glock 17 and it came with four 18 round glock factory magazines instead of the usual seventeen rounders. they are marked LE only so they were made during the ban but i have never seen or heard of them before. they fit flush also. if anyone can tell me about them i am mainly curious if they are common or if they were made for someone or someplace specific. thanks in advance 0 -
This is true. You will be able to hold 17 rounds with the 22 mag. But as the feed lips are too far apart, it will be somehwhat difficult to keep rounds in as they like to pop out, so be patient. Ive range tested this several times without a hitch. 0 -
Since the 22 mag holds the same as the 17 mag and would be less reliable, whats the point?
Why not just invest in the proper mag for the gun.

Laredo, because the 22 holds the same about of .40 means it'll hold more 9mm due to it's smaller diameter.
Personally, I'd get +2 mag extentions and skip the potential problems. Or for that matter, they make a what, 30 round Shearer or something for the 9mm if I remember correctly...0 -
Most of the high cap (20-30 rnd) after markets are not all that dependable ... they work and are OK for plinkin around. If your talking something that may be called on to keep you alive, go with pre-ban glocks w/ extenders if you want to stuff 2 more in. Prices (around here) run $60 to $75 and sometimes that is with extenders already on the mag.
Lastly don't think you can buy an extender for a post-ban and get 12 rnds. out of tha puppy ... they have a filler piece inside of the mag to prevent that.
If you want a couple 3rd party 20 rounders send me an email. I acquired them in a batch of stuff from a closed gunsmiths shop, and I have no plans for them at the moment.
