Broomhandle Mauser carbine
I'm trying to get some info on a broomhandle mauser carbine. It is in .30 mauser and has a 16 in bbl. The stock is attached horizontaly and when removed takes the pistol grip with it. I beleive this is a psuedo-modern reproduction but I can't find any info on it. It is marked 'Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf, NACAR - D.R.P.u.A.P.' I would like some info and pricing on this model.
Thanks,
Jason

I saw several of these types of reworks. I believe there are original ones but Briklee Trading Co (AKA Fedarms) of El Monte, Kalifornia converted many pistols to this configuration.
Correction: That was FedOrd not Fedarms. I tried to find a receipt
when I typed this but all I had said Briklee.0 -
The old Federal Ordnance Co. in South El Monte, CA marketed a version of this carbine back in the mid 1980's in both 7.63 and 9mm. I think the old retail price was around $2000, but it did come in a very nice fitted leather case! All known original Mauser carbines were fitted with either 11-3/4" barrels or the later 14-1/2" barrels and nice examples move in the $10,000 to $15,000 range and beyond for fine specimans. Any time you see a pistol/carbine with a 16" barrel you can safely assume it is a commercial gun produced to be marketed here in the United States so as to avoid the National Fierarms Act restrictions.

I was looking at one today at the local gun shop. This one had
the integral magizine.
It was on sale for $950.00 Canadian.
