armory coat finish

Anyone have an "opinion" on springfields armory coat finish. I have a local dealer that will make a good deal on a 1911a1 loaded series 45 in armory coat. I can get the little "green" beast for just under $600. How well does it hold up to being carried in a holster?

  A nearby dealer has a "deal" on "Lightweight Black Armory KoteT Micro?PX9804L " handguns...and just now going online, I see the list has gone up to $1058...last I checked they were $950+. The "deal" price was $580. The Armory Kote was the black, he showed me a new gun, but it looked used. I didn't come away with a very good impresson of the coating quality...but it may have just been that gun.

  Jsergovic,, I have seen some of those "new" half price guns in the past. The Gun I looked at is the green amory coat finish. The same dealer has the stainless for $629, and the champion loaded stainless for $650. I think I will still go with the stainless, but the green gun was interesting to look at.
