    There is a new take-off barrel listed here on GB. They typically run between $20 and $50. Another idea is that someone (butler creek I think) makes a sporter contour 10/22 barrel with open sights.

    www.brownells.com Now has 10/22 match quality barrels with the standard taper (as opposed to the more common bull barrel-style match quality barrels). Forgot which company makes. them.

    Also, don't forget that you can get a carbon-fiber sporter contour barrel with fiber optic (open) sights for around $100. It'll give excellent accuracy while reducing the 10/22's already light weight.

    It matters not how many times you've been knocked down. What matters is how many times you've gotten back up.

    Green Mountian makes them I picked a running boar barrel that fits a std sporter stock good barrel. Just some minor fitting.
