I have a Remington Arms Co. gun from
Ilion, NY,USA
Browning's Patent: Oct 9, 1900, Dec 17, 1901, Sept 30, 1902, June 10, 1902
Serial # 8959

Would like a little history and what it might be worth today. Great condition still in use, guns all handed down through family.

Is it a rifle or a shotgun? I would hazard a guess that it is a Remington Model 8 rifle. But it could be a Model 11 shotgun. Both guns were made under many of the same patents.
