A friend of mine is wondering what year his rifle is.The # is 2354xx
It is chambered in .270 Thanks

  there are 2 or 3 letters on the barrel, left side at frame. these letters are first letter=month second letter= year.
  Month code is B=1 L=2 A=3 C=3 K=5 P=6 O=7 W=8 D=9 E=10 R=11 X=12
  Year code is YY=1952 ZZ=1953 A=1954 B=55 C=56 D=57 E=58 F=59 G=60 H=61
  J=62 K=63 L=64 M=65 N=66 P=67 R=68 S=69 T=70 U=71 W=72 X=73 Y=74 Z=75
  I=76 O=77 Q=78 V=79 A=80
