sights for a 20" slug barrel - Rem 870
I have a smooth 20" barrel, chambered for 2 3/4" shells, for a Remington model 870. The barrel is at least 15-20 years old. The rear sight is a ramp type sight that has part of it missing. There are two small holes in the front part of the rear sight that look like the missing part fit into. The front sight is a ramp type sight and is complete. I have looked through Brownell's catalog and can't locate anything that looks like it would work. Does anybody know what part I need to fix the rear site or can direct me to a site that may have the part? I don't know what to call the part which makes locating a part harder. Would I be better off replacing both the front and rear sights? Thanks for all suggestions

It is a 12 gauge if that makes any difference and I think the front and rear sights are original to the barrel. I checked the Remington site, but can't relly tell by the description. Would anybody know what to call this part? I guess my best bet is to take it to a gunsmith.

YOUR BEST BET would be to snap a picture of whats left of both your sites then send it to Gun Parts Corp. in west Hurley NY with a note asking to match them up for you,If you go to a gunsmith they will
try to pass off another style of sites (not the correct ones)that fits your gun most likly ones they "scrounged" from the shop, then they will refer to the Gun Parts Corp. Catalog to give you a price
on them (some gunsmiths reading this know what i mean) GO TO THE Real SOURCE they will hook you up with the CORRECT ones.
