Shotgun that uses benelli's system?
I saw an add in American Rifleman today for a brand of shotgun that is authorized to use benelli's patented recoil system. I figured I could remember but by the time I got home, I forgot. Anybody know who it is? Maybe they are a little less expensive?

Franchi and Stoeger use the same type system as Benelli,the recoil enertia system. 0 -

Yup, That was the one,(Ijust went and looked[:D]) very nice, and very reasonable at $435 for wood. How was the review? 0 -
It was good overall.It said it had problems reliably cocking the hammer with 2 3/4" light loads but went on to say that this was acceptable because it warned of that very thing in the owners manual.Overall it was a excellent review though with that being the only problem and it was anticipated by the manufacturer.If I was looking for an alternative to that Benelli price tag I would buy one. 0 -

beretta has the import contract on benelli. I hear that Stoeger is being sued over the use of the exact system in the benelli's as well as making it look the same. The guys at the lodge bought a bunch of them when they came out,..and when I told them I wanted a few,..just to put away in the safe,..I was told they couldn't get any more of them. This could have all changed,..since this is last years info,.but that was what I was told.
I beleive the Fabarm uses the same operating system as well,..as it is produced by H&K,..the first company to handle Benelli.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

To address the light load quiestion: my Benelli Super Black Eagle won't handle the el-cheapo loads unless they are 1 1/8 oz loading. If I feed it 7/8 oz cheap loads it doesn't work properly. It'll eject the empty, but doesn't come back far enough to allow the shells in the magazine to be released.
HappyNanoq mentioned that there is a spring kit that is meant specifically for light loads, but I haven't used it.
One last thing, I'll say with conviction that the Benelli system is about the best thing going. It is a snap to clean, effecient, and reliable. My SBE would honestly be the very last gun I'd get rid of. I even ordered a slug barrel for it to extend its capability even further.

BH..... I'll second that. My Super Black Eagle is everything you said.
I suspect the reason they do not work with the 7/8th Oz loads is that load does not produce the "enertia" required to function the gun.
My SBE does the same as yours with those loads, it extracts, and ejects, but does not feed the next round. It just save those shells for my Ruger Red Label.
I have no intention of changing the springs in my SBE to shoot the lighter ammo.
