Romanian Ak-47 any good?

I was thinking on buying a Romanian Ak-47 for about 250.00 in very good shape. Will the Romanian ak take hi-cap Clips?
How accurate are they? And will a reciver scope mount work on this gun?

    That would be a very good buy if the gun is in excellent condition. Yes, they take hi-cap mags. Typical accuracy of ANY Ak-47 variant is not the best or as good as a bolt action rifle, but generally good enough to more than do what they are designed to do. If you are talking about the receiver cover scope mount, it should fit. If you buy one of these type of scope mounts, be sure to get the one that is the "see through" type so if the receiver cover wiggles around a little, you can use the old Iron Sights.........my 2 cents.

    I have a Romanian SAR-1 and it has been a very good rifle for what I paid.Mine came with a 10-rnd and a 30-rnd.It will also take the 75 and 100 round drums.Not a sharp shooter but its not meant to be.It will serve you well for probably just about the rest of your life with simple maintenance.I paid $350.00 for mine brand new in box and have never regretted buying it once.

    Not all of the Romanian AK's will take high cap mags. You will need to check the particular model that you are looking at to be sure. The SAR 1 models will take the high caps, but some of the WASR models will and some will not. If the one you are looking at is not able to take the high cap mags, $250 would be too much.

    please be aware that not all romanian models take high capacity magazines certain wars 10 models that do take high capacity started life out as a low capacity model that im assuming the importer modified them and did not quit get the diminsions right if considering a romanian model the sar series should be suuficent i would personally go for the sar 1 with laminanated stock stock

    the thing that scares me is that we could be living in someone else's own reality
