pre ban question

If the receiver says AR15, it is preban. It would have to be a Colt. Colt is the only manufacturer of the trade mark name AR15. All others are clones.

You can have the preban stuff on any receiver that was already assembled as a rifle prior to the ban, or one that had all the parts necessary to build it as an assault rifle prior to the ban. The only "preban receiver" that exists is one that was in assault weapons configuration prior to the ban, or had in it's proximity, the parts kit necessary to build it in preban configuration.

You cannot put preban stuff on a receiver just because the receiver was made prior to the ban, that would be "manufacturing an assault weapon".

An A1 upper with hlash hider is a preban upper.

Will say a Rock River or Bushmaster upper fit the Colt lower?
