    It depends.

First, you can only ship to an FFL or manufacturer. However, you can ship it to yourself at another location.

Nonlicensees can only ship UPS or FEDEX. You must ship from a company counter. You must declare the contents. Both companies require that you ship Next Day Air (both charge about the same). Since neither permits shipping if you are selling it, declare it as "firearm for repair".

i had a ups counter rep refuse my shipment 'for repair' when they found the address to be residential. make sure you claim it as a commercial address. its cheaper too. i always add these terms to private addresses like: r.a. smith 'inc.,' or johnny jones ' & associates,' or, 'the' frank goldenberg 'company,' or, hansen 'sporting goods.' works fine.
