Need Info On Flobert .22
I have an old .22cal single shot with double set triggers and it has a checkered pistol grip, and has a cheek piece on the stock. It has a Crown "B" and Crown "U" proof and then says Flobert on the barrel. The reciever has the same proof and says BUA on it. The bolt has the same proof marks and has 87 on it. The bottom of the barrel has 87 on it as well. It also has a sling swivel attached throught the bottom of the barrel and sling swivel in the stock. I can send pics if needed. Anyone know what this gun is or worth? Thanks

Flobert made bazilliions of rifles in late 19th century. Value if u watch the internet sites is from $100 to $250. but I'm not sure about the set triggers,that would add value I believe.Have a look at ***********.com and Collectorsfirearms.com if you don't see any listed here. 0 -
My reference notes that your rifle was probably made by "Bolte & Anschutz" of Zella-Mehlis Germany.
The Proof Marks are the standard ones use prior to W W II.
If it is, how you describe, with the "double set triggers", "checkering", and "cheek piece", it MIGHT be a higher quality piece that has some value if it's in factory original, very good condition or better.

It's difficult to be specific about the history of your rifle, other then to say the "B u A" trademark was in use from the early 1900's until sometime in the 1930's when the "JGA" or "IGA" trademark came into use.
Your best bet for appraisal purposes is to take it to a KNOWLEDGEABLE local collector or dealer for a "hands-on".0 -
German made; Turn of the 19th Century and up to about 1935.....BUA is the Abbreviation and Trade Name of Bolte u. Anschutz of Zella-Mehlis, Germany......Value Wise in Good condition is Worth $200.00...
