Winchester 1890 Solid Frame

Is it possible that any of you experts might know where I can buy a receiver for First Model 1890 (solid frame) or even an old rifle to rebuild? I have tried the want ads section, no luck yet. jclane40@yahoo.com Thanks very much for your help

  I saw on another post that you do have a copy of Ned Schwings book. Have you considered contacting some of the collectors acknowledged in his book. I would try to contact Dave Kidd or his brother, also Donald Tusher. Donald Tusher has a web site called Two Ponies that is dedicated to 1890s. I have talked to him at the big Tulsa gunshow and he loves to talk Winchester 1890ese. There is a possibility that some of these people could help you find a solid frame to work on. I saw a solid frame at Cabelas before Christmas in about 50-60% for $2700.00.
