Can someone tell me more about this pistol?
A friend of mine has had this pistol for a very long time. He has missed placed the paper work that told all about the gun, and he can't remember anything about it. On one side it says Brevet Remington and on the other it says Brevet Nagant and E M & L Nagut Liege. It is a dbl barrel. I would like to find out more about the gun as well as how much it may be worth. It is in very good condition. I have pictures but have been unable to post them.

The Nagant Brothers were the principal licensees, for the Remington Rolling Block Rifles, in Europe in the 19th Century.
Most of their production were the conventional military rifles and carbines.
They also made a side by side pistol using the Rolling Block Action. It was called the constabulary pistol. Perhaps this is the pistol your friend has?

Yes it must be, it is a side by side rolling block. The man is getting older and is having some health problems and I thought if I could find out some info he could have some other things to think about at least for a little while. 0
