Belgium Browning

Can anyone tell me how to take the forearm off the barrells on a browning belgium 28 gauge superimposed...if i pull out the little lever the fore arm just slides forward a bit...others i have it comes completely off the barrells...Helpppppppppp please

    I am absolutely ignorant of info in this field. I inherited a Belgium Browning 28 gauge skeet/ skeet O-U shotgun and am trying to put a resale value on it. It's been " guesstimated" at everything from 4K to 40K. A local gun shop has one in good condtion for 7500K. Mine is excellent. Any help appreciated!

    The real answer sounds sarcastic. Somewhere between 800 and 2500 dollars probably. It's difficult ,even for these experts to appraise a firearm with such limited information. The best way is to do your own research. Use the GunBroker samrtsearch option and look for similar sales that have ended in the last 60-90 days. Find one whose details are similar to your situation. Excellent condition can be a broad statement. Often condition, barrel length, year of manufacture, choke combination, stock styles etc etc have hundreds of dollars difference in value. Ive found this particularly true of Browning superposed guns. Give it a try. good luck.

    Highflyer, Welcome to the forum. Drl is absolutely right. HUGE range for that double. Additionaly, Browning and its marketers have clouded the water of O/U identification - they are known by many names, ie. superposed, citori, leige, and are of such varied manufacture that identifying what you have may be as adventurous as finding out what its worth. The Browning website is certainly helpful - look at www.browning.com, go to "services", "date gun", it'll take you through the serial number and alpha code guide for year of manufacture. See where your gun was built - look at the info on the barrels, under the forestock as well. Engraving, stock style, all will figure. When you know all of that look for comparables at the GB auctions - also Fjestad's "Blue Book" will be helpful. Good luck with the search. I wish I had a problem like yours. Best, Jim
