S&W SIGMA owners?
Who here owns one and how do you like it?I saw one on auction here that said"Just like a Glock but shoots better".In a local gun store the Sigmas brand new are $349.00 and the cheapest Glock is $499.00 with the one I was wanting being $559.00 and I would like to save the extra money if I get near the same gun.Who owns one and what do you think?Who doesnt but knows something about them?

Alot of people really hate them. Honestly they feel cheap in your hand, and the trigger pull sucks. But the other truth is that its a very reliable and accurate firearm. The trigger starts feeling better after about 500rds. After a couple thousand dry fires, proper lubriaction, and some getting used to, it gets better. As far as accuracy, I know my Sigma Enhanced .40 groups better than my Glock 22. It also has a better feeling grip in my opinion. But I will carry my glock anyday over it, because I favor it. I know I've put well over 1000rds thru it, and the only time I ever remember it malfunctioning was with some bad handloads I made. I think for the same money, I would take a CZ instead. 0 -
I know I couldn't wait to sell the one I had!! A S&W Sigma in .40. What a piece of crap! Jam, jam, jam. Never trust my life to it.
Took a big loss when I sold it, nobody around here wants them. That's what happens when you are among the first to buy something. From now on, I'll wait until a new gun gets more field tests from actual shooters. JMHO.

I had one for a little while. It fit my hand great, much better than a Glock. Unfortunately, the triggers suck. I heard you can use some of the Glock after market parts to fix the trigger up with a little modification...but I'm too lazy to do that and I only got the gun since it was a great deal anyway (gun show in Dallas for $260).
I sold it to a friend and it has still been very reliable with the Winchester el cheapo white box ammo I was using.0 -
I got a used 40V model that I actually like, but I couldnt recommend one based on their record......do a subject search and you'll see what everyone is talking about. 0 -
I have one and like it very much. Never had a bit of problem with it, and never a jam. Go figure!
All the rounds I have run thru it is Hydro Shock and ball ammo. The Hydro Shock I carry and shoot the clip once a year, and the ball ammo for whatever practice I do.
