can anybody tell me what this gun is worth-how it shoots,or any other particulars?

    Hesse products tend to be trouble prone and I suggest avoiding them. The company is currently doing business as Vulcan Arms and I'd avoid their products as well.

    Complete trash. Guy on AR15.com had his AR (cast)lower receiver break in two pieces after 2 (yes two)shots. They refused to replace it so when he set up a few tables down from them at the next gunshow, he put the hesse receiver out there as a paperweight. Needless to say not many people showed interest in Hesse that day. As Mark said, changed their name to Vulcan now, presumably to get away from the stigma associated with Hesse. Problem is, they are still producing junk so didn't take long for word to get around about the name change, and the junk made under both names. Buyer Beware!

    I must be the luckiest guy in the world; my Hesse AK-knockoff hasn't burped, spit up or exploded after almost 15,000 rounds of handloads, Wolf/S&B/Norinco ammo.
    It seems that every other gun assembled by those guys has been an aberration and I got the only one that works!
    I hope my Hesse HK-clone doesn't read all those other posts and become despondent!

    I think that if a person carefully inspects the folded, sheet metal stamping used for the receiver; that person can make a fair judgement as to purchasability of that particular piece of ordnance. It's fairly obvious when the pin holes don't line up from one side to the other, and heck; almost all the rivets are there as well.

    If you know it all; you must have been listening.<br>WEAR EAR PROTECTION!
