    I believe this month's Combat Handgus has it as the cover story. They said it was to have a pistol with a smaller grip and overall size like a 9mm, if I recall correctly.

    It's sort of a .45ACP Short. No doubt we'll soon see it advertised as "Just as good as a real .45ACP!"

    Another cure for which there is no disease....or solution for which there is no problem.

    Ah well.....those people at Tupperware have got to do something with their spare time.

    The primary reason for the GAP round is quite simple. Some countries do NOT allow there citazins(sp) to own guns that are chambered for MILITARY cartridges. Colt also has a short 45 auto round (slightly different length than the GAP), so the idea behind the 45GAP is nothing new.
    This is also why there are Mini-14's chambered for the 222Rem cartridge BTW.

    Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

    I thought they made the round shorter to fit into the smaller frame Glock pistols. The model 21 grip is too big for some folks, so they made the 45 GAP to be used in the Glock 17/22 smaller frame pistols.

    In the US market that is the selling point. In the worldwide market, see above.
