Winchester model 25 12ga
Hey guys, you have been so helpful in the past I hope somebody can answer this one for me! My Dad's friend is taking care of his mothers estate and came across this shotgun {Model 25 12ga pumpaction} and he's asked me if I would like to buy it. I have'nt seen it yet but considering it is in good shape what would it be worth? I've read that they were made in the late 40's to 1955 and you can't buy parts for them anymore, is that true? Could that be a problem? Once again thanks for your help!

MaCT,
The Win. 25 is like a solid frame (non-takedown) model 12. Made from 1949 to 1955. The only book I have with me is the 26th. Edition Gun Trader's Guide. It shows EX Cond $375, Good at $255 and NIB at $469.
Description: Hammerless. Solid frame. 12 ga. only. Four shell tubular magazine. 28 inch plain barrel: IC, M or F choke. Plain pistol-grip stock, grooved slide handle.
Sarco used to have parts for the 25, and Numrich should still have some. There may be a few old timers that still have parts.
Hope this helps.
