I see you proudly back your Glock 20.I am thinking of finally jumping on the Glock bandwagon and am thinking the 10mm is what I want in this gun.Yours has been absolutely reliable?How is the recoil of that round in such a light pistol,what is it comparable too?How thick is the grip?What is your accuracy like?Sorry for all the questions but I am trying to research this gun before I spend the money and who better with than a owner.

    The Glock 20 and 21(.45acp) are the same size hand gun. I have shot them both and the recoil is no different in my mind than any other hot .45acp in any other hand gun. If you are going Glock you need to get some hi cap mags. If youy stay with the 10 round mags I would look at the EAA Witness 10mm. You can also find some good S&W 10mm on the market. They dop not make them any more ((too bad)) but they are around. I like the 10mm round. My 2 cents [8D]

    Yes, it has been totally dependable... I've got somewhere in the 5,000 rounds range fired through it and not a single problem. It is the gun I always grab for "bumps in the night". It is the gun I travel with, etc. However, I recently filed for a CCW and I think it is a tad too big to properly conceal. Here, the law states that it MUST be hidden from view, and one mustn't be able to even see its shape through your clothing. I am going to go with either the Glock 29 or the S&W 1076 for that role (talk about total opposites). I am an avid 10mm fan! I hope my gun collection will eventually have one 10mm from each of the manufactors.
    The recoil isn't bad, but I don't mind recoil from handguns too much. It was nothing compared to my .44 mag or .50 A.E. The gun is more accurate than I am, it's been a while since I really tried for low MOA shooting with it. I instead practice more instintive shooting geared more toward its defensive role. The grip is thick, but not unmanageable. I put a Hogue grip-sleeve on mine, but I wouldn't use them on the newer generation Glocks. I bought mine in '94. I also have Meprolight night sights and an internal Lasermax hi-intensity laser in it.

    For rifles, I'll agree with ya that almost all calibers have a niche, for handguns, I think there needs to only be a .22lr (for cheap plinking), 10mm's, and for a few people the really big guns like the .500 S&W if they're hunting dangerous thick skinned game. I'd sure put my 15 rounds of 10mm against anything here on the North American continent.

    A friend has a Glock 21 (maybe his second), he never seemed to have problems. I myself have a S&W 1076 (got it right this time Bambi)and a Colt Delta. The Delta is a tad slimmer than either the glock or S&W
    but the recoil is felt more too. I think the bigger issue with the Glock will be if you have small hands and if you like the Glock "system". You either really love it or you despise it. Nobody seems to be middle of the road on that point. They are all well made. As Bambi says, the Witness probably is the top weapon if price, quality and pointability are all in one.

    Hey bambihunter--I have decided that you have too many hi-caps for that G-20. I mean, you wouldn't want to be weighed down by that many rounds. I'd be happy to "watch over" some of them for you sometime!!!! [:D]
