I would like to find info on stun guns.
My daughter would like to buy a stun gun and I know nothing about them. Can anyone tell me where to look? Thanks in advance for any help.

I just did a quick search on Yahoo and found this:

And some laws on stun guns:

Either get an "air wire" tazor or pepper spray. I personally think tazors are useless. A deterant at most. But the "air wire" Tazor gun's we use at dept work pretty good. I have no respect for the tazor. I've seen several attempted useages of a tazor, and rarely did it work. The fired "air tazor" works pretty good some times, I'd say about 75% of the time, as long as he's just not 10-96 or on to much dope. It works because it fires to projectiles into the skin, that stick in the suspect. 0 -
Does anyone know the legal issues for stun guns ? 0 -
Ditto, Ironsticks I would like to know that also. I would realy like to know more about how affective they are and also do you have to touch the person for the stun gun to work? 0 -
yes they do work, and yes the person has to touch the attacker with a stun gun, if the attacker is that close i dont trust them, a large man against a small female with a stun gun can turn it on the female, not a pretty site 0 -
There are legal issues for stun guns at the state/local level. Many jurisdictions (primarily high crime areas) prohibit them; they have been used by the bad guys in robberies.
The problem with tasers is that are considered firearms. Before I'd take a chance on one of them working, I'd rather carry a REAL firearm.
