Mauser Sporter type B
I seen this at my local gunshop today. It had double set triggers and all numbers matched which was a 3 digit number. I would classify it in real good condition. It also had a tiger striped wood stock which was in excellent condition. What would be the value of this rifle or best guess? As always thanks for any info.

IF IT IS A TRUE OBERNDORF MAUSER, YOU COULD BE LOOKING AT A VALUE
BETWEEN $1000-$8000... DEPENDING ON CALIBER, TYPE OF BARREL, ETC...
ETC....

The real value would be if it was totally factory original. Any restoration or alterations after it leaves the factory detracts from it's collectors value, i.e.
1), Refinishing, stock or metal.
2), Mounting a scope.
3), Recoil pad.
4), U S sling swivels.

If the rifle is in caliber 8MM be sure to check if the bore is .323 or .318 as many commercial rifles retained the smaller bore long after the government changed over to .323. 0 -
Could You perhaps have an FN Mauser 98..I have a Factory made Mauser 98 in 270 in the closet...There were quite a few Custom Mauser Sporters Made and F.N. Leads the pack..and I'm not talking about Military Conversions..

Caliber is 7x57 I believe. I do not know anything on these rifles but it looks to be in original condition with all matching numbers. He is asking $1500 for it.
