Hi capacity mags
Is it legal to sell high capacity pre-ban unrestricted magazines? Does one need some kind of special permit? What states is it illegal to ship them or sell them to? Perhaps this information is available on the auction site and I've just overlooked it. Thanks in advance for your replies. - Bill

I got into an argument with a friend the other day who said any magazine that is over thirty rounds is illegal. Thats not true is it. I buy the things all the time at gunshows and off the internet. Can someone clearify this for me.

BB,
If they are illegal to own, I should be on death row! What is illegal is to manufacture them for us regular folks. A side note is that you can modify legal hi-cap mags for your piece as long they will function in the pistol they were intended for. Also, it's the mag that is controlled. That is, hi-caps can be used on pistols that are current production. Go to the "search" function and you will find many other posts.

The Fed's say it is OK. Every State may have there own laws that are wau more strick than the Fed's. California case in point.
