HAKIM gas valve
Anyone familiar with the gas valve disassembly procedures for the Hakim rifle one of mine seems to be stuck, tried penetratinoil for 3 days to no avail,any help would be appreciated.

The valve is probably rusted pretty good. Take the handguard off and use a steel Hakim gasport tool (usually available online) or a nice pair of vise-grips and turn the valve in a CCW direction. It should break loose without too much effort. There is a spring plate which holds the screw in the proper setting (# of clicks). Mark the screw to plate position with a paint mark to ensure that it is "clocked" right when reinstalled (screw should be almost all the way in when installed properly). You will need to pry up on the spring plate lightly to get it to jump the stops at the ends of its adjustment range. Upon unscrewing the valve plug you can clean the port and threads and reassemble. I usually use anti-seize compound on the threads to keep the threads from getting stuck again. Do not use Turkish ammo in your rifle and clean the gun thoroughly after using corrosive ammo. I usually spray some Windex followed by some Gun Scrubber in the gas tube from the end by the receiver and blow it out with compressed air afterwards. After it is dry, a little shot of Rem-oil or similar down the gas tube will help prevent corrosion/seizure. Good luck and feel free to drop me an e-mail if you run into problems.

you can also make the tool out of a 1/4 inch socket by cutting a small notch in it( about 1/8 inch) then use a 1/4 drive ratchet to turn it.. 0
