    Hello,

I have just purchased a Remington Model 700 BDL Limited, the rifle is very nice however I would like to be able to lock the bolt down when the safety is on. Unlike it's current factory option. Is there any products or services that can improve this safety function.

    Thank you

Be careful there is a problem with accidental discharge with that set up get a hold of Remington first web site or 800 number. That why I dont care for them flawed trigger since 1962 read there recall it gives you the warning right up front

yes they had a flawed trigger,..but it was only within a certain serial number range. That was fixed and has not been that way for quite some time. The other option is to use an aftermarket trigger and replace the j-lock bolt shroud with a dividson.

JustC yep checked the Rem site It was just a few ser numbers the ones that start in 62 and go to 82. Not only in the 700 but 5 more modles but they make there recall good by charging the owner 20 bucks plus shipping to and from them, and to sweeten it up you get a 20 buck off safety gear [:(] [xx(] [?]. Sounds like after market is the way to go you wont get ripped off twice.

A timney is like $50,..and it's a no brainer. Just throw it in,..and adjust it[:D]

I like having that factory trigger left around,..that way you can throw it back in if need be,..or use the safety levers off of it. Some of those aftermarket rigs don't come with the safety levers.
