Your rifle seems to be a "Model 1922M2" this is a training rifle that was produced at the Springfield Armory in limited numbers.
If it's in original, "very good" condition or better, it's worth good money nowadays.

The latest "Standard Catalog of Military Firearms" values the M2 at between $500 & $600.
I personally think thats kind of low, if it's in ORIGINAL V. G. condition.0 -
Your rifle may be a 1922, a 1922M1 or 1922MII that was rebarreled with a 1942 barrel, an M2 that was rebarreled with a 42 barrel or an M2 that still has the original barrel. The term "1922 M2", thoughly commonly used, does not identify what model you have. Post or email me the the following info and I will help you identify the model and originality of your rifle. Serial number of rifle, serial number etched on bottom of bolt, model number stamped in receiver ring, type of stock (with grasping grooves in forearm and 1903 type buttplate or no grasping grooves and thick shotgun type buttplate), are there holes in receiver ring and on the barrel for mounting scope blocks. Are there cartouches on the side of the stock? Does buttplate have a trapdoor in it? The degree of originality and condition of the gun can make a lot of difference in the value. Most likely it is worth more than $500-$600. 0 -
its an unusualy accurate gun, if in good condition. enjoy it! we use to pop 100 yd targets all day with one, using peep sights!
