Stevens Model 345
I have an old model 345 doulble barrel 20ga. The forend has gotten lost somewhere and I need another one. This part has been a real pain to find, I have been looking now for almost 8 years. I realize that stevens only made about 3500 of these guns, but surely all of those have not been destroyed. I don't think they are being sucked up by the eclectic collectors. I have talked to all the large parts dealers and most of them are no help at all.
I know that Stevens made alot of shotguns under other names, springfield, westernfield etc... Were any of these made with the same pattern as the 345? Are there shotguns out there that have compatible or adaptable parts that will work? eg. 311 or springfield 5100.
Does anyone know of anywhere that has a 345 for sale, I can have parts fabricated for mine?

You might try www.gunpartscorp.com I myself don't know if it is similiar enough to the model 311, but they do show forearms for those. An e-mail to them would tell you directly if it is a cross match. There are others more well versed than I on GB. 0
