I would stay away from the Springfield. Just what others have said on this on here before.

The Nightforce will cost you about three times what the Springfield will, but you will not ever need another scope.

I've heard some negative things about Springfield on this forum before so you might want to research them. I have a cousin that has a Springfield armory scope on his Remington Police sniper 308 and has had wonderful results, but that is my only first hand knowledge of the Springfield scopes. You can't go wrong with the NightForce. You may pay more but they are worth it. Another brand you might look at is a line called IOR Valdada. They are right between the Springfield and Nightforce in cost and are excellent scopes. Look at Valdada.com if your interested. They have a really cool reticule called the MP8 that is great for some longer range shooting.

Thanks for the info. Nightforce really isn't that high. I found a place in Georgia that sells the 12-42x56 Benchrest for $850, so the 8-32x56 should be a little cheaper. I've priced the Springfield at $650. Thanks again, I think i'll order the Nightforce tomorrow.

Does this place in GA have a name or even better a web address?

Everyone has a photographic memory. Only some have film.

Check out Don UT on the 50 cal. discussion site, www.biggerhammer.con site. the best are Nightforce 3,5x15x56mm or 5.5x22x56mm. I have them both. One for my Serbu BFG 50cal. and one for my HK 91 (3.08) Don has the best service and price[;)]s! Best, Robert
