Help Picking new shotgun
Does anyone have any thoughts on the Franchi 912 or the Browning Gold Hunter? Trying to decide between the two guns.

Browning Gold Hunter is definitely the better gun ad a better price. Throw up a Winchester Super X2 and see how that feels - it's the same as the Browning, and a even a few bucks cheaper! 0 -
If you intend to shoot it alot I would stay far away from the Browning. My son competes in sporting clays, when he wanted to switch to an auto I bought him the Gold Sporting Clays steering him away from the Beretta saying Browning has never let me down. WRONG!!! After about 3000 rounds the firing pin broke. then the extractor then another pin then the trigger return spring!!! When other guys at the club saw me effecting repairs on the third firing pin two of them told me get rid of it because they experianced the same failures. When I wrote a nastygram to Browning they offered to pay the shipping ($4.25) only!!! Buy a Beretta 391 Optima, we own 2 they have yet to break anything. Good luck... 0 -
Got rid of my Gold-Hunter...Didn't function too well in the freezing, wet, muddy, grassy conditions in the Duck-blind...I'll never buy another one...I'll stick to my pump-gun.

I'd skip 'em both and get a Benelli Super Black Eagle... The new Franchi's are built using the Benelli inertia recoil system. 0
