what is a colt kodiac handgun?

The only Colt reference vis a vis Kodiac that I could find was to the Coltsman bolt action rifle.
These were made for Colt by the Kodiak Manufacturing Co. from the late 50's to the mid 60's.

its supposed to be some kind of upscale military target pistol. someone I know has one to sell and its claimed to be a competition type pistol. he's won a lot of shoots with it.

Kodiak, Colt custom shop 1993, 2000 manufactured, Magna ported 4 or 6 inch bbl, non fluted cylinder. Otherwise an Anaconda, 95% condition $625.

Kodiak.......As Punchie said, basic Anaconda with ported barrel and Non-Fluted cylinder.....but, to the best of my knowledge there was only 6 inch Barrels on these guns. I have seen and handled numerous "Kodiaks" and every one was a 6 inch......never saw a 4 inch. BUT, in the early 90's Colt would make almost anything you wanted. I believe there was way less than 2,000 of them made, but I can't find my information on this gun right now and am only going on memory.
For an Example, they made the "Grizzly" during this same time period. There was 500 of them made in the "Custom Shop" and they also had a Non-Fluted cylinder, Barrel Roll Marked "Grizzly" and it was otherwise a Stainless King Cobra in .357 Magnum. The Grizzly is worth about twice what a King Cobra is. They also made the "Whitetailer" and the "Whitetailer II" which were both 8 inch barrelled King Cobra's with the Whitetailer Roll Mark and Non-Fluted cylinder.....all of which were Stainless only finishes.
