Custom model 70 - Stegall/Childress

I have the opportunity to buy a custom pre '64 model 70 stocked by Keith Stegall (supposedly) and metal work by Jack Childress(barrel). Any idea of the desirability of work by Jack Childress? Worth of the Rifle (excellent shape).

  A custom rifle made up by Keith Stegall is pictured in the 1970 Gun Digest with other rifles made by prominent builders. FWIW.
