Hopkins & Allen 20 ga. bolt action
Can anyone give me any info on a Hopkins & Allen 20 ga. bolt action shotgun? A nephew of mine has one and was wondering about it. Reliable, good gun, possible deer gun...etc.? Thanks for any replies.

Hopkins & Allen - If in good mechanical condition, a good little gun. It carried no value to speak of other than it's worth as a game getter.
20 ga. is considered a bit on the light side for deer. Make sure the young man promises to place his shot carefully from close range. Otherwise he stands the chance of ruining his foray into big game hunting.
