FN Shotguns???
I know that FN, Browning, and Winchester are all owned by the same French cooperation. Someone told me that because of this that the FN tactical pump shotguns use Winchester 1300 actions. He also said that the Super X2 Winchester shtty is basically the same as the Browning gold.
Any truth to these things?

They are not all owned by a French company. Winchester autos are made in Belguim(FN), Browning autos are made in Japan (Miroku). Two totally different guns.

Winchester and Browning are both owned by FN Herstal:

The company also owns Browning and Winchester Firearms, both of which are in the United States.

I thought that FN and hence Winchester and Browning were purchased by GIAT, which is a French cooperation. I know that the guns are made in various European and Asian countries but is it true that when you buy a FN pump tactical you are really buying a glorififed Winchester 1300? 0 -
They look the same to me.. minus the threaded barrel on the FN . Hence I had my 1300 Winchoked. FN also uses the same rotating lock lug as the Winchester. 0 -

That was a while ago. Fortunately, the Frogs didn't know what to do with them so they sold them off to FNH.
Besides the shotgun overlap, FNH uses the Model 70 for at least one model of the rifle line as well. I thinks it's the Special Police Rifle and maybe a couple of other models.
