Leather Holster
What is the best way to make an old stiff leather holster more plyable again? thanks guys.

You could try Neatsfoot oil.

I've used with good success baseball glove conditioner.
On the bottle it states: Softens, enriches and preserves leather.
Contains mink oil.
This stuff is cheap and with 2 young sons, I always have a bottle.0 -
Neatsfoot oil is a great time proven product.
The Mink Oil works great, a little more money.
Dad always used neatsfoot oil, but I remember seeing him put a flattened leather case in a plastic bag and cover it with mineral oil. Later he took it out and shoved the revolver in it, and let it drip dry. It worked fine.

You probably don't want a leather holster to be very soft and pliable. It should be stiff and formed to the gun.
Major holster manufacturers advise against using neatsfoot oil or any product containing lanolin on holsters.
Safariland or Bianchi once marketed a leather dressing kit that was made for holsters.

I agree leather holsters should be stiff, some of mine are even metal lined so they keep their shape. Now if the leather is just drying out thats a different story.
