+P Ammo Question

I am buying a Springfield XD 9MM pistol with a 5" barrel. I dont know anything about +P ammo but want to learn more. Is it hard on the gun? What is +P+ ammo?

  Since you are new, you may not know about the search feature at the top of the screen. Do a topic search above using "+p" or "+p 9mm". This topic has been discussed countless times.
