Springfield Armory Lifetime Warranty - Quick ?

I Was Just Wondering About Used Springfield Armory Fire-Arms. If They Have A Life Time Warranty Then Do They Still Have That Warranty If It's Sold To Another Person?

    If is is a manufacturers defect, doesn't matter how many owners, most gun companies are pretty good about repairing their firearms. If the firearm shows signs of neglect, like rust, they may not be so quick to warranty any repairs.

    Thompson/Center used to have a warranty that covered you no matter how many people had owned the product.Now you have to be the original buyer.[:)]

    SA Inc will repair their products regardless of whether or not you are the original owner.

    A couple manufacturers have a warranty that follows the gun, not the owner.

    Most have a limited one year warranty.

    Several have a lifetime limited, to the original owner.

    I'd call the company.
    They will probably say that if it is a manufacturing defect, "we are good about correcting the problem".

    If it is misused, as in using +p ammo in a 1911 Ultra Compact, they might not be too compassionate. Also, they clearly state that damage from using reloaded ammo will not be covered. Neither will damage as a result of modifications be covered. This info is located in their 1911 operating manual, downloadable on their website.

    If one comes off the wrong way, or connects with a rep in a bad mood, the official line might be "Original owner only, with proof of purchase".

    Neal seems sure of himself, and his word is as good as it gets. If you are looking for a clear perpetual guarantee on a used product, the "normal wear and tear" and typical worn parts might strike your perception of what a guarantee covers.

    Which model is someone offering you a deal on, with a limited window of opportunity, that you require such a speedy response?

    Any Springfield Armory lifetime warranty will probably at least be good until they file bankruptcy again. They did it before, they can do it again. Beyond that, all bets are off.
