Remington .308 PSS
I just purchased a Remington .308 PSS from a local police supply dealer. It was one of 9 traded in by the Tennesse Valley Authority's security company. They bought them after 9/11 to protect the dams. It is in 98% condition and supposedly just used for qualification. It has a 3.5 x 10 50mm Leupold Vari-X III scope, Leupold one piece mount and rings, Harris short bi-pod, and web sling. I paid $900 and tax, and wondered if that was a reasonable deal.

That is a really good deal on a really practical pkg. It would cost you $1600+ to buy that pkg together new, more if you bought it piecemeal. Rem 700 pss and leupold are the best values in precesion rifle IMO. Mine has the AI stock and a trigger job and shoots about .5moa @100yds

I think mama paid close to $800 for mine, without a scope.
Its a dammed nice piece.
For best accuracy I use Federal's Match ammo 168gr.
At 100m I can put the bullet in the same hole, or at least within 1/8" of the first shot.
And I cant shoot worth a dang.
Only clean it from the breech, dont pull anything in from the muzzle!

The gun is a $650 gun for cheap.
The scope is a $550 scope for cheap.
The bipod is an easy $40
Sooooo, I see something in the $900 range THEFT for that rig[;)] That rifle and that stock will change you as a rifle shooter,..I hope you know the road you have chosen[:p][8D]
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

HI Thanks for all your comments. I hope to get it to the range next week. If anyone is close to north Alabama, the Gun Runner in Florence still had 2 more of these left as of Thursday. 0
