Ruger Redhawk 45 Colt 5" barrel?

Is this still a catalogued item from Ruger? My local dealer has one on display and I am thinking about putting it on lay away.

    Actually, the 45LC Redhawk was not catalogued at all (in any configuration) in the 2005 catalogue. It has been discontinued.

    Yes I am sure. I think it was discontinued in 2004 in the Redhawk & Super Redhawk. Still available in Vaquero, Blackhawk & Bisley.

    The only way to shoot 45LC (in a Redhawk) is to buy a Super Redhawk or Alaskan in 454 Casull. Same as 357mag/38spl. 44mag/44spl. 454cas/45LC

    I just bought one myself because it was discontinued. I now have the .357, .41, .45LC in Ruger Redhawk.

    Thanks 2x! I am going to buy it, I alwys liked the Redhawk model but never had one in 45 Colt. I like to shoot the real hot 45 Colt loads and I do not want to loosen up my S&W 45 Colt revolvers, so the Redhawk will be my "hot loads" revolver.

    Ruger does offer a Redhawk in 45 Colt. It is not a Super.
    It has a 4.2 inch barrel. I was thinking of getting one for myself.
    I am debating between this and Super Redhawk in 454 as it can fire 45 Colt.
