ar-10 or m1a

i would like to get a simi auto 308 a battle rifle what should i get a AR-10, M1A, BAR-10, i know i left out the HK-91 but i dont want to spend 2500 hundred bucks because it is a hk if i buy one it will be a safe queen. so what do you guys recomend for one i can take to the range every weeked

  I'm with Quickdraw on the JLD PTR-91!!
  I just got one and LOVE it.[:D]
  Mine is very accurate even though I'm warming up the barrel with the surplus ammo. Also, the recoil isn't as bad as the AR-10 or M1 either.

  I've shot a lot of the rifles mentioned and both the M1A and the AR-10 are very nice rifles. If you want to scope it or hunt with it, I think the AR-10 is the better choice. If you just want a nice shooter with a little history behind it, the M1A should get the nod.
  
  It might be worth your while to look at some of the other clone rifles that are on the market right now, like the FN-FAL, the H&K91, and the Eagle Arms AR-10 copies. These are hundreds and sometimes thousands less than the real thing and would be great on the range rather than becoming "Safe Queens".
