Is the series stamp always placed to the left of the serial number?

I have a type 99 from the Nagoya arsenal that I think may be a 0 series...

Its late war from kokura arsensal series 25 63xxx , just trying to figure out how the rifles were made , if there worth shooting, anything like that

You will find the last two digits of the serial number on the end of the stem inside the knurled safety, but you must dis-assemble it to see it.

Very easy to take apart. Just take the bolt out of the gun, hold in one hand, press down on the safety knob, and turn, I think counterclockwise, and voila.

I have to laugh. Jonk is correct and you were probably terrified with the thought that you might have to strip the bolt. Please be aware that it is THE SIMPLEST bolt to dis- and reassemble.
