Hi-Viz sights for SA 1911-A1?
Just came from my local gunshop. Looking for Hi-Viz type sights to go on my Springfield Armory "Loaded" 1911-A1. It came from the factory with Novak sights--plain black. I've been wanting those tritium sights for home-defense purposes. Told at the gunshop they were not available "after-market" for SA--that slide had to be returned to SA for installation.
Is this true? Mepro? Trijicon? Truglo? Doesn't ANYONE make them and sell them for installation by local smith--or by the owner? I had the feeling of smoke in my eyes when I left the shop.

The front sight needs to be riveted on. 0 -
i have dovetailed mine {all of them}, and installed the ones cut for kimber, it was a heck of alot cheaper
