Benjamin Franklin Model 312

Hi... my dad is trying to go through his house and get rid of some things. We came across this Benjamin Franklin Air Gun. I don't think the air part works... but looks like everything is here and it's in ok condition. Wood handle... the wood near the trigger is messed up and the rifle is showing it's age... which I don't really know what that is..

Any help would be great on dating this or pricing this thing... or even I should list it on eBay or something?

    Well Joanne, You will undoubtedly hear from wiser ones than I, but the .22 air rifle probably dates from between early 1950's to late 1960's. They are not very valuable if they are not in working order. The damaged wood is too bad. As "boy's rifles" they often led hard lives and suffered much abuse. Use search "air rifle" or "Benjamin air" on GunBroker or the bay - use smart search to look at closed auctiuons to see what completed sales were. You can get a feel for value that way. Someone will undoubtedly be interested in your rifle as a "parts gun" or to rebuild if they have parts. Good luck.
