Stevens model 235 Buttstock

A customer brought in a model 235 Stevens side by side 12ga. shotgun with a shattered buttstock. Looking through Gun Parts Corp, Jack First Inc., ect. there aren't any stocks available. Will a stock from a different model Savage/Stevens work for this shotgun? I'm not real handy at stock work and would just prefer replacement. Thanks, Ron
